Vincent likes wooing. He’s gotten good at it over the years, never finding it difficult because he genuinely enjoys getting to know more about the person he’s with. Vince gets pleasure out of putting his partner at ease and teasing out a smile or laugh. From there, it’s an easy step to sitting close and, if all things seem a go, letting his arm slide from the back of the couch onto their shoulder.

He loves to kiss. As far as he’s concerned, no kiss should be rushed, but especially not first kisses. Vincent likes the gentle exploration of lips. The taste, the sweet pressure of a mouth as it moves under his, the vulnerable capitulation when those lips part and let his tongue in to explore.

Then it’s a dance. Sultry, hot, and slick, and Vincent gives and gives and then takes back in equal measure. For Vincent, wooing is an art form and he relishes it, but for now, he’s the woo-ee, not the woo-er, and he suspects he’s got a big, goofy grin on his face.

Brendan is – well, there’s no other way to interpret the wine and candlelight, the soft cushions on the couch so that they have to sit close – Brendan is trying to woo him. And he’s not terribly good at it.

Brendan already has a red stain on his white shirt. He almost tipped a candle over and started a fire trying to uncork the wine bottle, and he nearly strangled himself when he tried to loosen his own tie. It’s like watching a train wreck and Vincent can’t tear his eyes away.

It’s not hard to tell that agent Dean is completely out of his element and it’s charmingly endearing. Charmingly endearing and as hot as all fuck. He can’t remember anybody ever wanting him this badly. Vincent’s caught between waiting to see where this is going, and saying, to hell with it, and just backing Brendan up against the wall and tearing his shirt open -- with his teeth.

He’s not sure when they’ll get to the kissing part. The way things are going, it could be dangerous. On the other hand, he hasn’t been able to take his eyes off Brendan’s mouth all night.

Vince licks his lips for the fifth time this evening just to watch Brendan’s eyes go dark. There’s nothing of nervous inexperience about that reaction. For the first time since he can remember, Vincent’s not sure there’s a chance in hell of slowing those first kisses down.

Dangerous or not, he’s not sure he wants to.
